Skin Needling Treatment Overview

Improve fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores, stretch marks, acne and other scars, as well as some pigment conditions with the SkinPen micro needling treatment. Micro needling triggers the natural wound healing process of the skin to rejuvenate the appearance of skin.

What To Expect Before Skin Needling

When you arrive for your micro needling treatment you’ll have numbing cream applied to the area for 60mins. You will wait in one of our private patient waiting rooms during this time. Treatment time can range between 30-45 mins, depending on the size of the area to be treated. So we recommend you allow at least 2 hours for each treatment.

1-3 treatments are usually recommended for optimal results, spaced 4 weeks apart. Results can be prolonged with maintenance treatments every 6 months.

How To Prepare for Skin Needling Treatment

Do not wear make up on the day of treatment, including lipstick, mascara or sunscreen. Avoid taking non-prescription medication that may thin the blood, such as anti-inflammatories, for 2 weeks prior to treatment.

Skin Needling Aftercare

Immediately after treatment you’ll be asked to stay and apply an ice pack to the area for at least 10 minutes, to limit risk of bruising.

SkinPen treatments come with an aftercare pack of products to use for the week after treatment, as regular products may contain ingredients that should not be used.

Minimal sun exposure is required for 72 hours after treatment. No sunscreen can be worn for 24 hours after treatment.
