Everyone wants to look their best on their wedding day, or let's face it, any special occasion!
But many patients end up disappointed to discover they haven't left enough time for the treatments they want before the event.
This is our guide to your big day’s skin preparation, so you can look and feel your absolute best when it matters most.
Radiance Facial
Our Radiance Facial combines a chemical peel with a Laser Genesis treatment. While a single session can deliver a beautiful glow, we recommend monthly sessions for 3–5 months for the most effective results.
Anti-aging injections
Anti-aging injections can take a few weeks to fully take effect, and results are stronger with 2–3 treatments. As treatments are distributed approximately 3 months apart, planning should begin at least 7–10 months before your wedding day. These additional treatments help soften lines and wrinkles over time. We suggest a final treatment 4 weeks before your wedding, with a review 2 weeks prior to address any touch-ups needed.
Collagen boosting procedures
Collagen-boosting treatments such as Sculptra, Profhilo, Structura, or HIFU should be started 6–9 months before your wedding day, allowing collagen to build to optimal levels. If your treatment plan includes filler, this can be administered 2 months before your wedding, with a review and any necessary adjustments 1 month prior.
Hair removal
Laser hair removal is a popular option amongst brides wanting to avoid the hassle of shaving or waxing around their special day. Achieving the best results can take at least a year. Treatment sessions are spaced 6 weeks apart for facial and private areas, and 10 weeks for other areas. With most clients requiring between 5–12 sessions in total. Beginning treatment 1-2 years before your wedding is ideal, though some improvements may still be possible with less time.
Tattoo removal
It can be difficult to predict how long a tattoo will take to fade, so starting the removal process as early as possible is always recommended for the best results. With treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart and multiple sessions often needed, the process can take up to 2 years, The earlier you start, the better your results are likely to be.
Laser treatments
Most laser treatments target a range of concerns including pigmentation, redness, texture, and resurfacing. Most clients require at least 2 treatments, with a few weeks of healing between each session, depending on the concern being addressed. With 4 - 6 weeks required between sessions, we recommend booking a cosmetic consultation 9 - 12 months before your wedding day so we can create a personalised treatment plan to ensure optimal results in time for your celebration.
Book a Cosmetic Consultation
A cosmetic consultation is the best place to start when planning your wedding day skin preparation. Our senior nurses offer complimentary consultations, ideal for injectables, chemical peels, laser facials, tattoo removal, and laser hair removal. Dr Marianne Nolan, cosmetic physician, offers consultations for $220, best suited for injectables and laser treatments including facial resurfacing.
